Katy Perry OPI collection

Has anyone else seen these?

Today I went to get a haircut and saw these. They had a packet with the four main colors in mini bottles so I bought it immediately! Unfortunately, they were sold out of the shatter but they told me in a few days they'll have it back in stock.

When I got home, I did my nails with the blue sparkly one called "Last Friday Night" which also happens to be one of my favorite songs off the Teenage Dream cd. I am pretty excited with the final results.

When I went outside to grab the mail, I was impressed with the sparkle when the sun hit my nails. Can't wait to try some of the other colors soon!!

In other news, I would like to warn everyone of the dangers of wearing a ponytail. Please don't pull your elastic off of your ponytail without loosening it. My hairdresser knew I did this as soon as she saw my hair. I had no idea it was causing so much breakage!!!!! Ahhh. Did anyone know that could happen?

Guess what is on tonight? Pretty Little Liars!!! Starts at 8 pm on ABCFamily. I highly recommend it. Lauren from Modern Day Wife always watches and we always have to discuss. Check it out and check out Lauren's blog too. She is having a scentsy giveaway soon. :)

Oscar 2011

Here are my favorite Oscar fashions for 2011:

Mila Kunitz in Elie Saab
Va va voom, Mila! The flowy, lacey dress is sensual but classy at the same time. I also love her hair.

Mandy Moore in Monique Lhuillier
Isn't this dress stunning? I love how the mesh goes up to her neckline but it is almost invisible. I am pretty sure this is a favorite for everyone!

Jennifer Hudson in Versace
First off, JHud's makeup is flawless! And tangerine is kind of bold to wear on the red carpet but she really pulled it off. Get it, girl!

Did you have a favorite outfit of the evening?

How about everyone who won... did you agree/disagree?

What was your favorite part of the evening?

OMG

I just asked my friend, Jamie, for a good dance song or something to make me feel really happy. Guess what she suggested?

*Nsync on Pandora.

OMG. This station is seriously changing my life!!!!!!!!! Ahhhh.

Not only do they play *Nsync, they play all of the late 90s artists I love so much. Christina Aguilera (before she became a crazy diva), Mandy Moore, Pink.

:::HAPPY DANCE:::

Awesome Product Alert!!!!

Clinique just got a brand spankin' new tinted moisturizer and I'm in LOVE! It is called Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer. It has the same feeling as it's name sake, our beloved Moisture Surge, light weight, oil free, and giving you that moisture you need.

The only difference is this one is tinted and has 6 different shades to choose from. Since I'm a fair skinned beauty, I got shade 1 (which is slightly too dark, but I just blended real well). It also has an SPF 15 and can strengthen your moisture barrier with continued use!

I highly recommend this is you want something nice and light to wear on your days off. It will even your skin tone out, give you sun protection and add that moisture we all need this time of year. Just came out this week and is $24.50. Enjoy!!

MIA

Hey... remember me?

Sorry I have been MIA lately. Like I said in my previous post, I am so busy with presell for Clinique Bonus. And I would be at my goal very, very soon but I was doing so well that they added an extra $800. I am not the happiest about that. I am not getting any kind of extra gratis and no one else is getting their goal raised. SUCKS. I am glad that management has enough confidence in me to add extra. We will see though. I told them all I can do is try. Which I will! So, anyone want to place a presell order with me? ;)

Guess what? I am off today, tomorrow and Monday. Holler! No exciting plans. Some cleaning, relaxing, hanging out with the Hubs, and catching up on my DVR.

I did go to Steak and Shake today and it was amazing. I hadn't been there in so long since it isn't super close to my house. I got some kind of western bbq steakburger with those awesome mini fries. Don't you just LOVE those little fries? Oh and I also got a chocolate-banana milkshake. I was full the whole day.... so I guess it wasn't very good for my Weight Watchers, oops. I also got a hat- yesss!

Kellie from Real Housewife of H20ville stopped by my work this past week. I was putting stock away and I heard her laugh and did a very dramatic gasp and ran down to see her! Haha. She brought her adorable daughter, LB, and I tried to get her to do her banshee yell but she wouldn't! :-/ She did, however, say "Yeahhhhh" very enthusiastically to something I asked her. It was awesome. You guys should check out her blog. She has a fun blog to read!

I am sad to report I have done anything to my office recently. I am just too tired. I am working, cleaning, and trying to do more than come home and go to work. Ugh. I might work on it on Monday though. If so, I'll update :)

So Busy

Sorry I haven't blogged much. There is a good reason, I swear! It comes about every six months or so and it is called CLINIQUE BONUS.

Right now, I have to presell our gift which actually starts on March 9th and runs til the 27th. I have been calling all of my clients for days now... ouch, my ear hurts. The good thing is, I'm about half way to my own personal goal.

I was trying to find a photo of what our gift looks like but it isn't online yet. It comes with a Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, 7 Day Scrub, High Impact Mascara, a lipstick, Superbalm Moisturzing Gloss, and 3 different eye shadows. You also get your choice of warm or cool colors.

If anyone wants to order, I'll throw some extra goodies your way too :)

Off to work I go....

I Love You Day

How was Valentine's Day for everyone?

I worked. Til Close. Lame, I know...

Louis was very sweet though. He knew I'd be working yesterday so he told me he was taking me out for VDay on Saturday night since I only worked til 6:30. When I got home Saturday evening, he told me he was taking me to a Mediterranean restaurant for tapas! Yummm. He had roses and chocolates waiting too. He sure does know how to make a girl feel special!

When I got out of work last night, I got another gift... a pandora charm for my bracelet and it is awesome. It is an elephant- my favorite animal!!! We drank some rosa regale and ate some chocolate. YUM.

I  thought I'd post a few of my favorite, romantic songs. Check them out!

Stupid video but...

Love the lyrics

Skincare for Redness

Since I work in cosmetics, I thought I would blog about which products I really love. I have some interesting skin.... reactive redness and rosacea are my enemies. Thanks Mom & Dad for your rosacea genes! ;)

The important thing to remember when dealing with redness is to use as few products as possible so you don't irritate it even more. Another important factor is to use oil free products. Think of your skin as a pan on the stove. It is hot and when you add oil, it gets hotter. Same with your skin!

Protection from the sun is another important thing to remember whether you have rosacea or not. The sun can ruin your skin! It can ruin the moisture barrier under your skin, give you wrinkles, dark spots, and even cancer. The sun is something you should never mess with. I regret my sun exposure in my younger years but I am making up for it now.

Well, that is my spiel.... now here are my FAVORITE products:
   I start with a cleanser.
It is a cleanser, toner and makeup remover all in one! It also feels really cool on my skin.

Usually, people with red skin cannot use an exfoliator  but over time, I have strengthened my skin enough to be able to exfoliate a little more so I either use a clarifying lotion or scrub.

Then, I use a serum...
Turnaround Concentrate is a serum that speeds up the cell turnover rate and leaves your skin looking radiant. It is awesome!!!

And lastly, I use a moisturizer.
Superdefense SPF 25 for the daytime and Super Rescue for the evening.

If you have any skincare questions, please leave a comment and I'll be glad to answer. Hope I helped anyone with redness concerns! :)

Vacation!!!

Hi everyone!

Just put my vacay in at work and cannot wait for it to get approved. I'll be heading back down to the sunshine state with my Husband. Since we don't have definite plans yet... I have been planning in my head what it will be like and what we'll do. haha.

First off, I'll be getting in much needed family & friends time! That is probably the hardest part about living in Ohio.

Ooooh, and hopefully my Husband and I are going to get some photos done of us on the beach with the best photographer EVER Jason Angelini. He did our engagement photos and wedding photos and I never knew I could look so good! hahaha.

Other things I have planned in my head include:
Beach time!!! With lots of SPF of course.

Disney World

I want to go line dancing too! It sounds ridiculous but it is SO fun. And I love country music. And alcohol. haha.

Oh and Bern's anyone? Seriously, SO GOOD!

Can't wait!

Music Monday

Yes, there is only a little bit of Monday left but I wanted to use this time to talk about music.

What is in my cd player right now? The Civil Wars

The duo is made up of Joy Williams and John Paul White of Nashville. Their cd, Barton Hallow, came out on February 1st. I preordered it on Amazon and have been listening non stop. The harmonies and lyrics are mesmorzing and haunting to say the least! Have a listen....

Poison & Wine has been out for a while now.... it was even on Grey's Anatomy.

Barton Hallow is their newest single and I looooove it!

And guess who has two tickets to see them on April 2nd at The Ark in Ann Arbor? ME! Yayyyy.

Well, I hope you guys like their music as much as I do. :)

Super Bowl Sunday!

 Happy Super Bowl Sunday!

I don't know about you but it is a big day in my house. My Husband is a football nut and well... I just like the commercials. :) Oh and the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet.

Last weekend, my Husband told me we were having a party. Oh, nice to make sure I don't have any exciting plans (yeah right). So, today we are cooking the yummiest smelling pulled pork for sandwiches, spinach artichoke dip, potato skins and some other goodies.

Who are you rooting for? Me? PACKERS!!!! Mostly because I hate Ben Roethlisberger.

Who am I rooting for in the Puppy Bowl?

Hope everyone has a great night and stays safe. Off to work I go :)

See Where I Blog!

Lauren at Modern Day Wife had a neat post a couple of days ago! She posted where she actually blogs. She has such a cute little nook. I decided I'd play too and show you my blogging area......

Haha, it is the couch in my family room. It is comfy and right in front of the tv. Also, I always put my feet on the coffee table (Rude, I know). Oh and I always have some type of blanket or snuggie because I'm not a fan of leather and I hate to be cold when I sit on it.

Ta-da!

Sorry it took me so long to play, Lauren. It has been a crazy couple of days and I was feeling kinda lazy.

Thankful Thursday

Guess what?

                                                  It's Thankful Thursday, ya'll!!!!!!!

It was rough day and you know what I am very thankful for?

MARGARITAS!!!!!! On the rocks with salt on the rim, please and thank you!

I'm also thankful for American Idol & Grey's Anatomy for making my Thursday even better!

I see a red door.

And I want to paint it black.

So, I posted on my facebook that I painted my front door red and that is the response I got. Haha!

Someone asked me why I painted it red and I told them I have always wanted a red door. I am not sure why.... there wasn't any special house that I loved with a red door. I just like how it looks. In fact, my Husband is so wonderful that when we bought our house, we were talking about things we wanted to change and he says "Oh and we'll have to paint the front door red". It hadn't even crossed my mind yet!

I googled the meaning of red doors and in Feng Shui it creates a welcoming energy. It also means protection and the blood of Christ. I like all of those meanings!

We went to Home Depot and I picked out "Red Velvet" from Behr. It already has the primer mixed in which is nice!

And then the hard part started. I thought it would be so easy to paint a door. Uhh, not so much. First of all, it is winter so it's cold. Secondly, the door is dark green. When I first applied the paint, it looked sooo bad and I thought "what did I get myself into?". After 3 to 4 coats, the door looks fab!!!

Oh and what happened to the office? Still working on it! I'll update about that soon :)

Blast from the Past and Snowmageddon update.

Just to let everyone know, I am safe and sound. The county I live in is under a level 2 snow emergency which means only drive if you have to because the roads are very dangerous. However, the county I work in which is 10 minutes away from me, is under a level 3 which means it is ILLEGAL to drive. And guess what?

MY WORK IS OPEN!!! GRRR. ARGGGH.
**Edit** I can't believe it but they just called & said the store is closed!

This is my deck and backyard. I had a little path for my dog to walk but it got covered again. Yuck.

My nestie friend, Lauren, of Modern Day Wife tagged me on her blog. She did a blast from the past post. According to her post, I list 7 facts about my childhood and post some pics. Sounds fun! Thanks Lauren!!!

Blast from the Past

1. My Parents and I lived in Georgia for the first few years of my life.

2. I loved Christmas and all holidays, even as a little one!

3. I don't remember my Grandpa very well but I like to think I have his spirit and love of music inside of me. His Mom, my great grandma, was and is my favorite person ever.

4. I went to Disney for the first time when I was 5 and remember it vividly. It was so exciting!!

5. In HS (I graduated in 2003), I had plugs in my ears. It is so trendy now... then, not so much.

6. I had/have a great group of friends from middle and high school.

7. I went to a performing arts high school and sang in the choir and did madrigal dinners. So fun!

I'm tagging Marisa from  Tablet of the Heart and Kaitlyn from Til the Kai Sleeps in case they want to play too!

Snowmageddon

See Ohio? I'm in the Northwest section of the state. We are currently in a winter storm warning and can get up to 14 inches. And last night we got 4 inches. Yikes! We are lucky enough to have power and cable/internet right now but the winds are pretty bad. Hopefully we'll be ok!

Do you think my work will be closed tomorrow? I highly doubt it. :-/
