A Few Updates

Hi everyone!

I have been kind of busy so I haven't had much time to update... sorry!

I have started Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. Can you say hard? It is so hard! I have made it through each time though which is good!
Tough chick!

In other news, I did have a little something this past week. Ugh, I felt so yucky!!! Thankfully, I am doing much better now.

I got half of my veggie garden done. I planted celery, lettuce, eggplant, watermelon, cucumbers, and broccoli. I still have to plant my tomatoes and pepper though. Hopefully I can get to that this week.

Sunday night was the start of True Blood...  Did anyone else watch? I just LOVE that show!!!

That is really it as far as life right now. Thanks for reading! Hopefully I can catch up on all my blogs soon... I have over a weeks worth of posts to read. Yikes!

Dear Dad..

I miss you every moment, of every day. I miss how you didn't just listen to everything I said, you heard it. I miss how you always mumbled "Love ya" at the end of each call. I love and appreciate that you would tell me to "Have a good day!" when I would leave the house and then ask "How was your day?" when I got home. I love how protective you were. So much so, you didn't even want me to drive on the interstate unless I really had to! I miss how obsessed you were with karaoke. There wasn't a door you didn't open for me or a bag you ever left me carry. My heart feels a little bit empty without your physical presence here and sometimes I don't know how I can go on...
You are the best Dad and I hope you know that!

I hope everyone can hug your Dad real hard today or talk a little bit longer on the phone. Don't take it for granted.

So Jealous!

Soo... as you all know, I am from Florida. And guess where my Husband is right now? Florida.

BOOOOO!

He is down in St. Augustine for a conference for work and then he is going to St. Petersburg to hang out with my family (ok, ok, it is his family too now!). I am so jealous. I've been pouting for days.

As pay back, I cleaned the house today and did laundry and didn't put his away. Mwahahahaha. Evil wife, eh?
Evil wife face

In other news, I got my hair done today. Well, just redid my color.... but guess what? I got pretty feathers in my hair too!!! I was going to get some blonde highlights to go with the red but then I saw these cute yellow feathers and it was way cheaper. I got a yellow, white, yellow and black stripped and white and black stripped feathers. So fun!
Feathersssss.

Anyone else have these?

Meet the Babies!

I thought I'd do a post about my pets... I love them and think of them as my children. We definitely have a housefull, that is for sure!

Bo
He is a 6 year old, Shih Tzu/ Poodle mix. Very smart, very sweet and a Mama's boy! He is known for dancing on his two back legs to try to get food. It works.... sometimes. He was a present from an ex boyfriend. Haha.

Gus
Gus is a 7 year old Yorkshire Terrier. My Sister and I got Gus when he was 8 weeks old. My Parents (mostly my Dad) became obsessed with him and when I tried to move out, he wasn't allowed to go. After my Dad passed away in March, I took Gus with me to Ohio to lighten my Mom's load. He is doing great and is thriving!

Annie
Louis and I adopted Annie (Big Girl) from the Humane Society. She was a year and a half when we adopted her. She is 3 now. Big girl like to cuddle and sit on your lap. She is also very needy and likes to be held often. Very sweet thing!

Wanderlei
Wanderlei... pronounced Vander- lay... aka Vandy aka Big Boy is exactly that- a big cat! Just from this photo you can see how long he is. He is also very strong but sooo gentle it is ridiculous. He loves to wake up Louis and bug the dog in the middle of the night. Besides that, he is such a sweetheart!

Mia
Mia is one year old. Vandy is her littermate. Both were adopted at our local vet's office. The city brings in strays there. Mia aka little girl aka Mimi is a very sensitive soul! Kind of spacey but also, very gentle and sweet. Right now I just looked over and she is staring at the wall. Haha!

Charlie
Charlie is about one year old also. We got him shortly after we got Vandy and Mia. We were just cat sitting for a coworker and it turned out, he ended up staying with us a lot longer! Charlie aka Charles (when he is naughty) was a feral, farm kitten but we turned him to a sweet kitty! He doesn't meow with his mouth open and it is so cute. He LOVES to play with Wanderlei and wrestle, even though Wanderlei always wins. He seems to always be somewhere he isn't supposed to be!

Gloomy Day

Today in NW Ohio, it is gray and gloomy. And you know what? I will take! The past few days have been 95-100 degrees and I feel like I am in Florida! Don't get me wrong, I am happy to have warm weather... I just wasn't expecting it to be that warm!
See? Told ya it's gloomy! Oh and you can see the newly stained deck :)

Hope everyone has a happy Friday. It doesn't mean much for me in the retail world but hopefully I'll have lots of appointments today and tomorrow. Until next time...

Days Off

This past weekend, I was lucky enough to have Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday off. How awesome is that? I can't even tell you when the last time that happened...

Friday: I was so PRODUCTIVE! I dropped my dog, Gus, off at the groomer's for a haircut. Went to the dreaded DMV (not so dreaded afterall) to get my tag renewed. Picked up the dog. Came home and cleaned the entire house. Louis was out of town for a conference so it was a good time to get that all done. Dusted, vacuumed, mopped. Clean all the little nooks and crannies! Baseboards get dusty, did you know that? haha. Loaded and unloaded the dishwasher. The rest of the day was spent outside mowing the front and backyard and then reading on my deck. Nice way to wind down...

Saturday: Louis got home! Yay!!! We spent the whole day together and it was also our dating anniversary. We've been together 5 years now :) Love him!
Us a few years back :)

Sunday: Another productive day. I take tennis lessons with a couple of ladies each Sunday and no one could attend so I took the lesson by myself. The hour of tennis was a blast! And it was the first I used the ball machine (which is kind of scary!). Shaoul, my tennis pro, helped me improve my backhand so much!!! I also learned how to "volley".

After my lesson, we went to lunch, the grocery store, then home. I thought I was going to get to relax but no such luck. We decided it was time to start staining our deck in the backyard. Talk about tedious!!! We went with Cabot Mahogany Flame . I'll post photos after we get our 2nd coat on!

Monday: It was kind of a lazy day. I cleaned a little bit, did some laundry. I also went to a psychic and it was very interesting... definitely felt better after leaving.

How was your weekend? Ever been to a psychic before?

Birthday Surprises

Hi everyone!

On the 30th, I turned 26 years old. I feel like an oldie now... ;)

Before I had to head in to work, I was woken up to breakfast in bed! How sweet is that? Louis went to McDonalds (lol), came home and put it on a plate. It was so adorable!! I have never had breakfast in bed so I think I could definitely get used to it.

I also got surprised with cupcakes from my favorite, local cupcake spot. They were closed on my actual bday so Louis drove over on Sunday and picked them up. He got a million different flavors and I wish I had a photo but I ate them all! haha. My favorite one, Peanut Butter Chocolate, is a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting and broken up Reese's cups on top. I often refer to that one as the sex cupcake because it IS AMAZING and better than sex. HA!

Anyways, went to work. That sucked... got off at six and drove home to this....

My very own backyard oasis complete with tent with netting to keep the bugs away (from my in laws), a fountain with lights in each level (from Louis), chairs with new cushions, plants (from my sister in law) and even a chandelier!

My Birthday was just full of surprises and so many people were so sweet! I got a mini cake from a friend, Penny, at work. A gift card to my favorite place to eat, B DUBS!!, and these awesome nail polish films, from my friend/coworker, Laurie. Cards from everyone, gift card to Kohl's from my sis, $$$ from my Mom, Carol's Daughter Almond Cookie shower gel and moisturizer (smells soo good!) and pajamas from my Aunt. And lots of calls from everyone! I am one lucky girl.

Thank you to everyone for helping me get over my Birthday Blues... it means everything!
