Royal Wedding Extravaganza!!!

Who is getting excited for the Royal Wedding?

ME!!

See? I even rocked this Kate Middleton inspired headband at work:
Please excuse my ridiculous face. I was trying to cheer up a friend.

I keep checking the internet for any sort of new detail. We just got the itinerary for the big day!

  • First thing in the morning on April 29th, an announcement from the Queen's office with William and Kate's new titles.
  • 8:30 am Guests arrive at Westminster Abbey
  • 10 am VIP Guests arrive (Hi Posh Spice!!!)
  • 10:40 am The Royal Family arrive with the Queen and King coming in last.
  • 11 am Kate arrives with her 5 bridesmaids! Also, at this point, a press release will announce the designer of her dress, sketches, photos, etc. The wedding ceremony starts.
  • 12:15 pm The wedding party arrive at Buckingham Palace for photos and a reception with over 600 guests.
  • 7 pm An intimate party with dinner and dancing for 300 guests.
I wish I could go... :( Anyone got any royal family hookups?

And I am really excited to see Kate's dress! I wonder what kind of style she is going to go for? And what are her bridesmaids going to wear?

Does anyone think it is weird William isn't going to wear a ring? If my Husband told me he didn't want to wear his ring, I'd be mad! Whatev though.

Ooooh, and what do you think of Kate's ring? I believe it was Diana's so it is even more special. I think it is so beautiful and such a sweet sentiment to give her his Mom's ring.

Is anyone else excited for the royal wedding? Are you going to get up early and watch everything on tv like I am (unless I get a last minute invite. Then I'll be there in person!)? What style dress do you think Kate should wear?

I am definitely excited, and to be honest, I'm not even sure why. I find the whole thing fascinating. I mean, I love weddings anyway, so why not be excited about the grandest wedding of them all, I guess?

The "no ring" thing would not fly with me. Prince or no, you wear a ring, pal. Although I suppose it's not like he can sneak off and "be single" in a bar or something - pretty sure everybody in the world knows he's married!

I can't wait to see her dress! I hope it's something grand yet modern. (Is that possible?)

When you are from a family that believes they were appointed by God to rule what does a ring really mean? I just hope he is has it in him to be a loving and faithful man unlike some of the royalty that came before him. That is if Kate can stand his ego...

I just thought it was funny that an "intimate party" consists of 300 people. Haha.

I love the sentiment to the ring but it's not my favorite. I am more of a regular diamond girl.

My husband actually LOST his ring in the ocean and went about a year without wearing one. I was enraged! I told him that he didn't have to wear a ring if he tatooed 'I'm married' across his forehead.. and then I stopped wearing mine.. he soon got a new ring :)
I'm not that into the royal wedding, I'd like to see photos.. but I'm not going to watch hours of it.. I didn't for his parents wedding either!
I hope that Kate wears something simple and elegant...
