Today, a friend of mine invited me to a running group tonight. I was a little hesitant because I haven't run in a million years (ok, since about September). It is a 3 mile run or walk so I said "Why not?!". I had to warn my friend that I run really slow. Ha. She said she does too.
Uh yeah, whatever! She was done like 10 or 15 minutes before me, hahahaha. I am proud of myself though. I ran the first mile, walked the second and ran the third.
I want to do this every Thursday and maybe a few other days too. It is something that I don't enjoy but tolerate more than the gym. Plus, I want to have that sleek runner's body! :) I used to run before I got married and it really does change your body. It is fun trying to get faster running times too!
Does anyone else run? Any tips for me?
