I love, love, love my job!

I get to talk to people all day long, help with their skin concerns, do their makeup, redo my makeup when need be and wear a spiffy labcoat. Let me tell you though... there are some draw backs.

Is there someone who has helped you at your makeup counter before? Did you like them and do they call you when promotions are going on? Please ask for them! Even if they aren't there, they could still get credit for your sale.

Don't ask for something free every time you stop by the counter. PLEASE. I do not mind giving you a gloss or something new to try but every single time? Because you spent $20? Hells no. You are not entitled to a freebie for shopping at the counter every 6 months.

Are you going to homecoming or prom and you need a free makeover? Fine! Can you help me out since I am missing out on sales to do your makeup by purchasing atleast a lipgloss? K, thanks.

Please do not get mad at me because you are not in the computer system. It is not my fault no one ever added you as a client. You knew you were coming in to get your makeup, why didn't you look to see which shade you wear? And don't get huffy when I offer to match you up instead.

Like I said, I love my job. Somedays I want to punch people though...

Oh and no, we don't have waterproof mascara anymore!!!!!!!!!

Happy Fall!

         It is the first day of Fall, hooray! Goodbye Summer, see ya next year.

  What excites you the most about Fall? I have already written my love letter to Pumpkin Spice lattes. And showed you a few photos of new decor around the house. I am excited for the crisp, cool air. That is definitely something I never experienced in Florida. I am excited for apples! They just don't taste the same the rest of the year... I am excited to use my firepit outside and roast some marshmallows.

   I am also so, so, so excited for Fall fashion! That is another thing about Florida... you don't really change what you wear down there. And I'm pretty sure the "no white after Labor Day" rule does not apply!

This season, the trends are right up my alley!

Happy Wednesday!

I am beyond exhausted! Of course, you know I am in bonus for Clinique. That means 6 days/week work schedule. Ughhhh. Thankfully, the last day is this Saturday! I am excited to say the least.

Newest obsession? MAD MEN. I am now on season 4 and I don't want it to end! Does anyone know when the next season starts? And does anyone else watch? I even made myself into a Mad Men character, hehe.

This past Saturday, I had a very important event. Also, a very sad milestone. September 17th marked the 6 month anniversary of my Father's death. It also happened to be same day as my local Out of the Darkness Walk supporting suicide prevention. It was a bittersweet day. I was so happy to raise money for the cause and do everything I could to help... I was just sad I had to.

Everyone wrote on the sidewalk a tribute to their lost loved one.

Fall Decor

Yesterday, I mentioned that Hobby Lobby was having an awesome sale. It was an extra 50% off Fall merch. HOLLERRRR. In case you lovely ladies need anything, the sale is running til the 10th.

I am loving my Clarisonic Mia!!!!! Yes, I broke down and got one. I have given up hope that work would ever give me one. It is fabulous... if you want one, let me know. Anyways, I got the turquoise one and it is so cute. See?

I am loving the Fall weather! Today it was 60 degrees. YAY! I even pulled out all the Fall decor and stopped by Hobby Lobby to pick up some new stuff.

I am loving that my sister is going to come visit at the beginning of October... we are going to the Apple Butter Festival and just going to hang out. Hopefully the weather stays nice for her!

I am loving that I am going to be on local radio on the 11th. I am sharing my personal story of loss and being a survivor of suicide. I am also promoting the Out of the Darkness walk supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Interested in donating to my cause? I am loving days off... especially since I only get one a week during gift. 

I am loving my Husband. He has been so sweet and caring to me. He is the best!
